The issue of H1N1 and the flu shot boil down to two questions. Does the flu shot work and is it safe? In-depth research on both of these questions say the answer is NO! – they don’t work and they’re not safe.
Study after study fail to show any improvement in outcomes from flu vaccinations. The Cochran Collaborative meta-data study of 50 separate studies involving 70,000 patients showed that the flu vaccine did not prevent transmission of the flu, and it did not decrease mortality or complications.
The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine published research that confirms that there has been no decrease in deaths from influenza in the elderly despite the fact that vaccination coverage has increased from 15% in 1980 to 65% today.
Because the flu vaccine is classified as a pandemic vaccine, the pharmaceutical companies that make it are doing so 100% risk free. That is because of U. S. Federal Government exemptions granting them liability protection. As a side note, you might want to know that “non-pandemic” vaccines are similarly protected under a “no fault” injury compensation program enacted in 1988 that is funded by your U. S. tax dollars.
While the US is advocating flu shots for everyone over 6 months of age, it’s a different story in other countries around the world. Because of the large number of children admitted to ER departments of hospitals with vomiting and convulsions, both the UK and Australia have banned flu shots for children under 5 years of age.
Doesn’t it make you feel good to know that because of your larger body mass, the level of poison that is being injected into you is not ususally enough to make you as ill as the children?

I have never prescribed to this flu shot deal. I figure if you are taking care of yourself in the first place your body will deal with the challenge just fine on its own.
